Your feet won’t touch the ground with Attraction Source Events, hosted at your favourite theme parks. Featuring behind the scenes tours, exclusive ride time, insightful talks and so much more, we specialise in bringing like-minded people together to experience activities that you would not encounter on a regular day out.

We always aim to bring our members exciting new experiences, and previous events have included an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Ghost Train at Thorpe Park, a complete group take-over of The Smiler at Alton Towers Resort, and a fascinating talk by Merlin Magic Making at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is membership required to attend an Attraction Source Event?

No. Membership is not required to attend an Attraction Source Event – you just need to keep an eye on our social media channels to keep updated on when tickets go on sale.

Why do you charge for these events?

These events feature many additional activities not included in regular theme park entry, such as behind the scenes tours and exclusive hire of attractions. We do not aim to make a profit from the events, and as such keep our prices ‘at cost’.

Are there any age restrictions?

Yes. Anyone aged 13 or below is not permitted to attend alone and we reserve the right to cancel and refund any tickets purchased by someone 13 or below who will not be attending with a guardian. We strongly advise that anyone under 16 is accompanied by a responsible adult for the entire duration of the event. In order to accompany any underage guests, the guardian will also be required to purchase an event ticket.

Some meetups or events may contain adult orientated activities including visiting pubs and bars within attractions. These activities are strictly 18+.

Do you have any rules for attending?

We strictly enforce the attraction’s own admission policy. In addition to this we also ask that all members behave in a manner which is respectful of the attraction we are visiting, general day guests, and those attending the event.

Do I have to pay for admission?

Yes. General admission is not included unless explicitly specified, and is separate from the event cost. Most events have the option to purchase discounted admission alongside the event cost which will be clearly stated and available during the booking process.

Can I use a voucher to gain discounted theme park admission on the day?

No. As our events commonly start before admission kiosks open, Tesco vouchers, 2-4-1 vouchers or any other voucher will not gain you entry in time to join the group for the start of the event, so please do not attempt to use these on the event day.

Only a valid Annual Pass or ticket purchased through us will admit you into the attraction.

Can I purchase a theme park ticket on the day of the event?

No. Tickets for theme park entry cannot be purchased on the day of the event. Anybody who does not hold a valid Annual Pass or theme park admission ticket on the morning of the event will not be allowed to access the park with the group and will have to wait for the turnstiles to open which will likely result in missing the start of the event.

Can I bring my partner / friend / family?

Absolutely! The more the merrier. Please be aware that all our usual rules will apply to those attending. If you wish to bring an additional person along to one of our events then please be aware they would need to purchase a ticket.

I am a carer for someone with a disability. Am I able to come for free?

We aim to be as inclusive as possible, and welcome anyone with a disability or other condition that requires the company of a carer. Participation in event activities is subject to the attraction’s own accessibility policy.

Generally the attractions will charge us for all members that attend on the day, and if a carer is to take part in any of the event activities, they would be expected to pay full price. We do not aim to make a profit from the events, and as such keep our prices ‘at cost’, so we are not in a position to be able to discount the cost of the event ticket if not all of the activities are participated in by event attendees.

If you have any questions about specific access requirements, then please contact us in advance of purchasing a ticket, and we’ll be happy to help.

Am I able to vlog or blog an Attraction Source Event?

Yes! Although we do not permit attendees to film industry talk and Q&A activities, you are welcome to vlog the relevant event the rest of the time, and we encourage you to share the passion and positivity of event days – we’ll even make a cameo if you want us to!

If you need a copy of our logo for your video thumbnail, you can download versions for a dark and light background at the links. We always enjoy reading written blogs as well, so do please tag our social accounts and share your content once published.

Is it possible to film on-ride during exclusive ride time sessions on attractions using a GoPro or similar?

On occasion, certain Attraction Source team members will film on-ride during exclusive ride time sessions at our events, usually for our own YouTube channel and other social media platforms. We have a long term relationship with the attractions we host events at, and work collaboratively with them to create content while ensuring we meet all relevant health, safety and compliance requirements.

Unfortunately, we are unable to manage this process for event attendees so do not permit filming during private hire of attractions.

Who are we?

Attraction Source Events are hosted by a collection of enthusiastic and committed team members from every corner of the country. Learn more about us in the Community section of the main Attraction Source website.

Pricing

Our aim is to provide a unique theme park experience that you can’t buy elsewhere. We operate our events on a not-for-profit basis, meaning that we do not aim to make any money beyond covering our basic costs.

We always try to keep our prices as low as possible and believe our events offer incredible value for money. Our events usually cost between £30 and £70 per person which is a low cost per individual compared to the usual fees charged for the exclusives if purchased direct. We have included some typical fees below as an example of what the Corporate Events Departments would typically charge. Not all events will include all these elements.

  • Ride Exclusive Hire: Up to £5000*
  • Behind The Scenes Tours: From £70 per person**
  • Scare Attractions/Mazes: £34 Per Person***
  • One Shot Fastracks: £9-£20 per person depending on attraction

In addition to these, most events include venue hire and complimentary hot drinks, sweets, badges and dedicated early entry points into attractions.

Theme Park Admission

General admission is not included unless explicitly specified, and is separate from the event cost. Most events have the option to purchase discounted admission alongside the event cost which will be clearly stated and available during the booking process.

Please note that due to the nature of our events start times, we are unable to accommodate theme park admission purchases on the day of the event. This includes offers and vouchers. The only theme park admission tickets accepted on Attraction Source Events are;

  • Valid Attraction/Merlin Annual Passes
  • Theme Park Admission purchased directly through Attraction Source
  • Theme Park Admission purchased in advance from the attraction with a scannable / print at home barcode

If you hold another ticket type, please contact us prior to booking an event ticket and we’ll be happy to help.

Anyone aged 13 or below is not permitted to attend alone and we reserve the right to cancel and refund any tickets purchased by someone 13 or below who will not be attending with a guardian. We strongly advise that anyone under 16 obtain is accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) for the entire duration of the event. In order to accompany any underage guests, the guardian will also be required to purchase an event ticket.

Event Timings

If you believe you are going to arrive at an event later than the advertised start time, please let us know as soon as possible. Whilst we will try to accommodate late arrivals, we cannot guarantee immediate access, and we will not be held liable for any part of the event that you miss as a result.

Events can and often do overrun. Activities taking place after park close can be delayed due to a number of factors out of our control. Please ensure you bear this in mind when making onward travel arrangements.
